We hope this answers any questions that you may have about your upcoming visit. Please contact us directly if we can assist further. 

Can group or special event photos be taken at The Herrington?

Photo Sessions are not allowed in the hotel or on the grounds.  

What time is check-in & check-out?

Check-in time after 4:00 PM. 

Check-out time before 12:00 PM.

Is tax included in the room rate?

Rates do not include 11% occupancy tax.  

How much will be charged to my card at check-in?

The credit card presented at check-in is authorized for the room and tax plus an additional $100/per night incidental hold. If no additional charges are posted to your room bill, please allow 7-10 business days for the additional funds to release. 

Does the hotel provide local transportation?

Local area transportation (within 3 mile radius) is available for registered hotel guests ONLY  based on immediate availability & on a first come, first serve basis. Arrangements can be made no more than 60 minutes in advance and is subject to staffing availability at that time.  

Does the hotel provide airport transportation or shuttle service?

Shuttle Service or airport transportation can be arranged through our preferred vendor A1 Limousine at 630.833.3788. 

Do you offer parking?

Yes, we offer our south lot, along the building and across the street are all available for overnight parking and it is complimentary self parking. 

Can I ‘walk-in’ for a stay at the hotel, for spa treatments or restaurant reservations?

Reservations are subject to availability and are highly recommended to be made in advance.  

Are pets allowed at The Herrington?

Pet dogs under 30 pounds are allowed in a limited number of rooms and areas of the hotel.  Please call the front desk to inquire about pet friendly room availability. An additional cleaning charge is applicable.  
Dogs should remain on a leash or harness, and under the control of the owner at all times. Please see Pet Policy in ‘Terms & Conditions’.  

Is the property non-smoking?

We have a 100% non-smoking policy in our hotel and on the grounds. 
A $250.00 per occurrence smoking fee will be added if a guest smokes in the room. 

What is the required age for check-in?

Minimum age to check in to a guestroom is 21 years of age. 

When can a hotel reservation be cancelled?

A 48-hour notice is required for cancellation of any normal, transient reservation. Some special rates may be booked as ‘non-refundable’; please see your original confirmation for details or call the front desk for more information.  

Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?

Early check in and Late check out are subject to availability on the day of arrival or departure and must be approved by the Front Desk staff. A fee may be applicable.

Are cribs available?

Pack & Play and Cribs can be provided upon request, subject to availability.  

Are rollaway beds available?

Rollaway beds are available for a $15/night charge.

Are there fridges in the rooms?

Each room features a fully stocked ‘minibar refrigerator’ which is kept at a beverage temperature. Should you require a fridge for food/medicine, a mini frig can be provided for $15/night and are subject to availability. 
Can I receive packages to the hotel before my arrival? 
Packages may be received to the hotel prior to guests' arrival or during their stay.  Please be sure the package is addressed to a registered guest at the hotel or a guest named on an existing reservation.  If not, the package (s) may be refused. 
A $5/package handling fee will be applied when more than two total packages are received for a guest or if a package exceeds 24" in any direction &/or weighs more than 5lbs. An additional $5/per package/per day storage fee will be applied to packages held for more than 24 hours.

Delivery directly to the guest's room is available for an additional $3 per package.
