We excited to be reopening our doors and inviting guests to return to the Inn. Since our temporary closure, our focus has been on keeping our team and guests safe. We closely monitor The Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health for updates and they have issued guidelines and protocols that we will strictly adhere to in order to keep our guests and staff healthy and safe. We ask our guests to do the same. Thank you for your understanding as these guidelines are subject to change.
As guest of the Herrington Inn & Spa, if you have experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days or are experiencing a fever, for the safety of our community, please allow us to reschedule your visit to the Inn.
New protocol for overnight guests
Masks or facial coverings are required in all public areas of the Inn and in Atwater’s Restaurant. While dining, guests are asked to remove their mask only while eating or drinking. Your mask will need to be placed back on when a server approaches the table.
We have added hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel for your safety and convenience.
We ask that all guests & employees practice social distancing, whenever possible.
Employees will be monitored at the beginning of each shift, prior to arriving at the hotel for temperature checks and screening.
Employees will not be entering any occupied rooms during your stay.
At this time, we are offering a limited selection of breakfast items on our Continental Breakfast between 7:00am & 10:30am.
Housekeeping- Rooms will be stocked with additional supplies for the duration of your stay. Rooms will not be serviced; however, additional toiletries, towels, or bed linens are available upon request and will be delivered to your door.
Minibar items will be available at the front desk for purchase.
No contact Room Service is available and will be delivered to rooms in disposable containers.
We are pleased to continue with our tradition of offering our guests homemade cookies and milk each evening. We apologize as we are unable to deliver this to your room, please stop by the desk between 5 and 8pm to pick up your treats!
We are excited to welcome our hotel and local guests back to Atwater's. We have our dining room set in a reduced capacity as instructed by the state.
Our Gazebo and patio are also be available.

Seating is limited as tables have been reduced to give adequate space for placement of 6’ apart.
A protective face mask is required to be worn when entering the building and exiting your table. This can be removed to eat or drink.
Please place mask back on when a server approaches your table.
Please do not come to Atwater’s if you are symptomatic or have had a fever in the past 72 hours.
Our staff is going through additional training to ensure the safety of our guests. We will be conducting temperature screening and a questionnaire prior to clocking in for their shift. Face masks will be worn by associates and they will follow social distancing as work duties permit. Each table and chairs will be thoroughly disinfected after each use, prior to a new guest seated.
Breakfast 7am-11am, lunch 11am-2pm and dinner 5pm-9pm
Sunday Brunch 11:00am-2:00pm
As we return and adjust to new standards and expectations, we remain committed to providing you with the utmost care and comfort during your treatments. This means staying consistent with our already high standards of hygiene, sanitization and cleaning, all without compromising the high level of service you expect and deserve during your appointment.
Every staff member will be wearing medical grade face coverings at all times during their shift and will be temperature screened prior to starting their workday.
Treatment rooms, facilities, and all equipment will be cleaned and sanitized between each appointment; high-touch surfaces will be frequently sanitized and enhanced protocols will be followed for handling laundry.
To safeguard the health of our guests and other visitors, we kindly encourage you to follow the current guidance oﬀered by the CDC. Upon entering the Inn, guests will be provided with hand sanitizer and a mask (if necessary). Additionally, if you are ill with flu-like symptoms, we are happy to reschedule your visit for a future date.
